Goal Met!

We made our goal and then some.

The community pulled together and raised over $24,000 for the shade structure. It was recently installed and  immediately put to use for at teh school’s annual frog jump.

Awesome job to everyone who made this happen!

Run Rate to Goal!

Run rate will take us to our goal!

At the rate we are going, it looks like we are going to make it!

If you still are interested in contributing…

Any amount that is right for your family, is right for the school and this project.

We just appreciate all the people who have made this a success.

Moving ahead by leaps and bounds

We are moving ahead by leaps and bounds. Today we are at $14,919 with 8 school days to go until the close of fundraising on Feb 26th.

The entire community has been so supportive. We’ve received unsolicited donations from neighbors. A number of Sutter students have contributed money from their own savings. The success of this project is in the hands of the people it will, ultimately, benefit. It’s a pleasure to be part of such a positive and supportive community.

Today an architect will come for a site review with drawings soon to follow. I’ll keep you posted about the progess.

Have a great day!

Donations Doubled!

Today we received two donations from parents whose companies matched their contributions. For every dollar they donated, Sutter School received two dollars…one hundred dollars instantly became two hundred.

Your company might offer something similar. If you aren’t sure if your company offers a matching program, contact your company’s HR department and maybe they can help you see if it’s possible. We’ve also provided a list of corporate donors (see the links on the right).

Sutter Elementary Celebrates 50 Years!

On Friday, January 22nd we are launching a very special pledge drive in recognition of Sutter’s 50th Birthday.  During this drive, you can make a difference for all students, for years to come, by pledging support for the construction of a covered lunch pavilion to be installed between the cafeteria and the first grade wing.

The immediate benefits of this pavilion to all students, including your child, are:

  • Access to a new outdoor, multi-purpose room that can be used for school work, art projects, and special events.
  • Reduced exposure to harmful UVB/UVA rays.  (The majority of sun damage is caused before the age of 18.)
  • Outdoor lunch dining with complete overhead coverage.
  • Protection from weather – rain or shine.

Our goal is 100% participation – so please consider donating at the level that is appropriate for your family. Some suggested donation levels are:

  • $180 level:  One dollar for every day of school.
  • $108 Level: Ten cents for every day of school, Kinder to 5th grade
  • $ 50:  For Sutter’s Fifty Years

Please submit your tax-deductible donation to the envelope marked “Sutter 50” in the school office, payable to Sutter School by February 26th.  Remember, any amount is appreciated, all donations will go toward the lunch pavilion, and are tax-deductible.

Thank you for your on-going support at Sutter!
